City clerk Geraldine Bond read into the record the second reading of the ordinance for special service district.

The mayor informed the council a new checking account is needed to deposit the district money from the city utility bill.

The mayor also asked the city council to agree to allow him to open another checking account so we can separate old SPLOST from new SPLOST.

 The city clerk read into record the second reading for the 2026 budget ordinance.

 The city clerk Geraldine Bond read into the record the resolution for Garbage and Trash collection fees.

 The city clerk read into the record the resolution for the purchase rate for the    Cemetery plots.

 The city clerk Geraldine Bond read into the record the Resolution for our CDBG grant application.

 City clerk Geraldine Bond read into the record the Resolution providing for Required Local Matching Share of Community Development Block Grant.

 Our city attorney Mr. Tommy Coleman was present at the meeting to address several concerns regarding ordinances processed and explain the duties of city manager, council and mayor.

Sale City, City Council Meeting

September 11, 2025

The meeting was called to order and the roll called.

Mrs. Nancy Norman was sworn in to her new position on the Council.

The agenda and minutes were approved.

Budget meeting dates will be October 9, 2025, Ocotober 23, 2025 and November 13, 2025 and the public is invited to attend.

A motion was made to approve the financial reports and the payment of bills.

The director and lead librarian came to the meeting to talk and the library setup and what their goals are for the future of the library.

The next meeting of the City Council will be on 10/09/25 at the Community Center at 6:30 PM.
